Terms of Service

By using the site, you agree to these terms and to use the site lawfully. You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. If you use the site for an organization, you confirm that you can accept these terms for it.

We may update the site, pause a season, reject a submission, or suspend access when reasonably necessary to operate the service, protect users, or comply with law.

A claim is a one-time payment that purchases territory placement for a website or X handle in the current seven-day season. It is not a purchase of the domain, account, brand, content, traffic, or any intellectual-property right. It does not create exclusivity, ownership, control, a partnership, or a right to revenue.

• The minimum payment to claim territory is $10 USD.
• Claims are additive. Multiple people may back the same target.
• A target's displayed percentage is its share of total backing in that season, not a share of the internet or a guaranteed result.
• There are no withdrawals, cash-outs, prizes, payouts, transfers, or revenue sharing.
• A claim counts only after the payment is verified and accepted by our payment workflow.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects the payment, billing, and transaction information required for checkout under its consumer terms and privacy policy. We are the seller for the checkout transaction.

We receive the payment metadata needed to match a completed checkout to a claim. We do not receive or store your full card number.

Your payment purchases territory placement in the current Claimland season. Claimland independently donates 75% of eligible payments from each finalized season to Cure4CF for cystic fibrosis research. A successful payment does not promise a particular rank, percentage, click count, or future season result.

Our policy is no voluntary refunds for a claim once it has been successfully accepted and applied to a season. A claim is not a deposit or stored balance, and active claims cannot be withdrawn or moved to another target.

We may issue or arrange a full or partial refund when a payment is rejected, duplicated, invalid, late for settlement, unable to be applied, or required by law. A processed refund can reduce or remove the related backing. See the Refund Policy for the operational details.

Chargebacks and payment disputes are handled through us, Stripe, and the applicable payment networks.

You may submit a website or X handle and edit limited presentation details for a territory. You are responsible for having the rights and permission needed for anything you submit. Do not impersonate a person or organization, submit unlawful or infringing material, or use the site to harass, deceive, manipulate, or attack another service.

We may fetch publicly available metadata and images from a submitted site to create a preview. Third-party names, logos, links, and content belong to their respective owners. Their appearance on the map does not mean sponsorship or endorsement.

Claimland independently donates 75% of eligible payments from each finalized season to Cure4CF for cystic fibrosis research. This is our donation, not a charitable donation made by you, and your payment is not represented as tax-deductible. The live amount can change when refunds are processed; the amount for a finalized season is recorded with that season.

The site is provided as available. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, permanent storage, accurate third-party metadata, a particular outcome, or that the map will remain unchanged. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit losses arising from use of the site or an inability to use it.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue.
