Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the claimland.lol website and its season map, claim flow, outbound links, and related checkout experience. In this policy, “we” means the operator of claimland.lol and “you” means a visitor or purchaser.

• Map and submission data: website domains or X handles, names, handles, descriptions, colors, logos, preview images, and other public metadata used to display a territory.
• Claim and season data: claim amount, target, season, timestamps, status, and payment identifiers needed to settle the map. Public views show aggregate territory and season information, not a backer profile.
• Usage data: outbound-click events, page and map interactions, browser or device information, approximate network information, and technical logs processed by the services that host and deliver the site.
• Payment data: Stripe and its payment providers collect the payment, billing, and transaction information required for checkout. We receive the payment metadata needed to match payment to a claim, not your full payment-card details.
• Messages: information you choose to include if you email us about support, a policy, a payment, or a submission.

• Operate seasons, calculate territory shares, settle claims, process refunds, and display the public map.
• Fetch and cache publicly available website metadata and images for previews.
• Record outbound clicks and produce aggregate season statistics.
• Prevent abuse, investigate payment problems, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations.
• Understand aggregate site usage and improve the experience.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use claim data to create a backer social profile or to send marketing email unless you separately ask us to.

Convex hosts the application data and backend functions used for the map, claim settlement, and click records. Vercel hosts and delivers the web app and provides production analytics. The app stores a local browser preference for light or dark theme. Stripe processes checkout payments and may use financial institutions, fraud tools, and other subprocessors described in its privacy policy.

These providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Their own privacy policies and terms apply to the processing they control.

Territory targets, public brand metadata, season totals, rankings, and outbound links are designed to be visible to other visitors. Do not submit information you expect to remain private. When we request metadata from a third-party site, that site may receive a request from our backend and may process it under its own policy.

The map links to third-party websites and X. We do not control their content, privacy practices, or security. Review their policies before following a link or submitting information.

We keep map, claim, season, click, and payment-reconciliation records for as long as needed to operate the service, preserve finalized season history, resolve disputes, meet accounting requirements, and comply with law. Retention periods can differ by record type and provider.

We use access controls and the security features provided by our hosting and payment providers, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Do not send full card details or other sensitive information by email.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, or to receive a copy of information we hold. Some records must be retained for legal, fraud-prevention, payment, or season-history reasons. To make a request, email contact@claimland.lol with enough detail for us to identify the request. We may need to verify it before acting.

For payment-related requests, contact us using the address above and include the Stripe checkout or payment identifier from your receipt. You can also control browser storage through your browser settings; disabling it may reset the theme preference but does not stop necessary site operation.

The site is not directed to children who cannot lawfully use paid online services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for that purpose. If you believe a child provided information, contact us.

We may update this policy as the service or providers change. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
